Through the Years
The Street Dreamz Foundation recognizes that technology education is vital to sustainable growth of a community. E-learning has become an integral part of school curriculums; however, many school districts across the state lack the resources and personnel to provide adequate training to prepare our youth for higher education and the workforce. With an estimated five million students unable to access the internet from home, Street Dreamz Foundation recognizes that technology education is vital to sustainable growth in underserved communities. The Street Dreamz Foundation Technology Initiative aims to raise over a million dollars in funding to provide technology and technology-based solutions to underserved communities specifically public educational institutions.
The Street Dreamz Foundation goal of promoting healthy lifestyles and empowering children to make smart choices is supported through the #HealthIsWealth initiative. Children that reside in food deserts are more likely to develop obesity, which can lead to heart disease, high blood pressure, and even anxiety. Our goal is to provide physical activity opportunities and healthy food options to children located in urban food deserts. Our Wheels of Dreamz events have provided over 800 bikes to children within these areas.
The Street Dreamz Foundation is committed to teaching the youth how to build their own businesses while becoming the CEO of their lives. Through our Street Dreamz Entrepreneurship Initiative, we will help them identify their personal strengths, and help them hone skills that will lead to college, career, and life success. Through this initiative, we will nurture their entrepreneurial mindset and help them hone skills in communication, problem solving, self- management, and innovation.
Financial Literacy Initiative
Lack of financial education is affecting youth, families, and communities. The attainment and development of money management principles and skills are essential to growth. The Street Dreamz Foundation Financial Literacy Initiative will provide resources to teach children about budgeting, credit, savings, investing, and banking, which will prepare the next generation to become financially self- sufficient.
